But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. ~ Isaiah

Where it says they shall renew their strength the word renew can also be translated to mean exchange.
Its a trade off of power for trust.
Its about the power of trust rather than the trust of power.
Whats it like to...
Wait on the lord ?
Its not to wait as a means to an end
Its not to wait to gain or lose something
Its a simple resting in trust
Its a state of not being apprehensive and anxious
Nor is it a state of oblivion from distraction
Its a state of surrendered awareness
With a willingness to be with life as its happening to happen
Trust does not demand that you dont feel...grief...anger...sorrow or anything else.
Trust is not a feeling..it itself is a state of being...of being aware...of our oneness with the universe.
Part of the awareness of that oneness is the capacity to feel along with other sentient beings.
Trust allows us to feel safe to feel.
God is not angry with us for what we feel.
Since when have we ever had a choice what to feel or not?
Put your hand in the fire and tell yourself its wrong to feel pain.
Choose to or not you will feel the pain.
Feelings are like breathing..like the heart pumping blood...they just happen to happen on their own...their part of the life that lives each of us.
Never beat yourself up about how you feel.
Allow yourself as well as others to have minds and feelings of their own.
Yet keep in mind...
Feelings are not personal when seen in the light.
They are simply all part of the dance and flow of life itself.
Sometimes it requires patience and trust to learn to dance with them.
Their intensity can seem heavy and unbearable at times.
But if we are willing to learn…
We can waltz with grief as well as jump with joy.
A little fear can season life keeping it from becoming dull...jump out of an airplane and you'll know you are alive...all the way down.
A little fear can awaken us to the present moment.
It is not altogether evil as many take it to be.
The problems dont come from feeling it.
The problems come out of our judgments about it.
We tell our self it is wrong to feel fear.
Then we turn what is simply a feeling into something more complicated
We turn it into ground for guilt..resentment..remorse to grow in…
Other “negative” emotions also fall into this category.
We complicate them rather than accept them and allow the passage.
But if we are willing to have tea with our demons…
We find we posses them rather them possessing us.
The only enemy is the one that is not loved.
Our safety is in our defenselessness.
Our softening...our sensitivity
Our love for life as a whole of it. The good bad and ugly.
