I had a cat that didn't care much for grass, but he was partial to particular herbs.

I preferred the garden I was designing. Unfortunately the lawn that has been here for over a decade decided it wasn't just gonna go and began to take over again and again and again. Even though big parts had been tilled why my neighbours. He said it actually should be done at least 2x to kill that grass. The lawn was so thick he could barely get through it even though his till-thingie was the heavy-duty type.
The lawn was at least 15 cms thick. That doesn't just die.
So I gave up on much I had designed. I will have to use some poison stuff now to save a few spots I insist on keeping. I hate doing that, but as it is I have no choice.

So no, I prefer a nicely designed garden with bits of grass. Currently dandelion thinks it can take over my 3,5m diameter Spiral of Archimedes. I can't have that.

I like grass but sadly I am seriously allergic.
If I try to cut grass now it puts me on the ground hard to breathe. Sneezing, watery eyes and itchy. I break out with a rash of lil red bumps all over.
I love the smell of freshly cut grass, just can't get near it.

I can walk barefoot in it.
I can lay on it for short periods.
As long as it hasn't recently been cut.
I can have a picnic but I have to sit/lay on a blanket.

In my younger years I worked the farm, daily contact with hay and straw.
Made extra money cutting lawns.

Its funny how allergies develop over time.
Lately, I find I am allergic to more and more things as time marches on.

An yes, I'm allergic to weed too.
Even the recreational stuff.
I get super aware of everything when I smoke it.
This is bad because I compensate a lot for pain and nausea and when I'm buzzed, I feel it all so much more vividly. Its awful!
And yes, I partied hard when I was younger.
You do know farmers always have a crop somewhere in the back 40.
