I have a new drug laugh I have been addicted to coke cola for yrs ... one of my vices ... I just found this chocolate milk about a mnth ago ... that I seem to be able to get about two gallons a wk ... have not looked what is making it so good ... I have become really addicted to it ... and have let some of my coke go for now ... I am freaking craving it ... all the time ...
I am not very good about breaking a habit ... thought I could slow it down but seems I am ready to go for miles to get some again ... what is wrong with me ... laugh ... just wait till i snap out of it ... I guess... like if its a phase ...

I know what you mean about chocolate milk. A few years ago I used to live in Florida and went shopping to Walmart. I went to the dairy section for milk and discovered chocolate milk. I thought hmmm I will try this so I did and found it so delicious. I drank lots of it over time but I discovered one side effect, in that it acted like a laxative with me!!! lolol. So I had to moderate my drinking of it.

I had a "Nestles Quick" addiction for years. I have weened off of it and am now on "Carnation chocolate malted milk".

Maybe the chocolate milk has an ingredient called coca cola in it? There is lemon flavored Coke, Cherry Coke so why not a chocolate milk flavored Coke? laugh

I used to buy chocolate cokes at Isaly's Deli.
They also made egg creams and cherry sprites.

In addition to sugar and fat, chocolate contains several substances that can make it feel "addictive". These include tryptophan, an essential amino acid that is a precursor to serotonin, a neurotransmitter involved in regulating moods; high serotonin levels can produce feelings of elation.

When I was working, I drank gallons of Pepsi daily.
When I stopped, I craved Ruby Red grapefruit juice.
Then I had a period where I craved dill pickle juice.
Now, my favorite drink is plain ole ice water.
