Insect revolution...the locations of killer bees have grown...roaches that use the insect spray like a body wash now...ants that have gourmet palates and ignore the bait now...incredible but true...

my first experience with hornets convinced me to give them a wide berth...those things were like targeted missiles...

No worries til the covid zombies start climbing out of the graveyards.

motown - it IS a HUGE worry. if these hornets continue to kill our honey bees. as they are now wiping out huge amounts of bee hives...we will have no pollinators. If we have no honey bees, things like broccoli, strawberries, cotton, cabbage, numerous foods will disappear. If you think this is not important, I assure you that you need to re-think it. without our honeybees, we will be product poor. We will never be able to revive the bee population.

mayB - thanks for your input. insect revolution - that says it all. in addition to the Murder Hornets, Desert locusts have swarmed into Kenya by the hundreds of millions ... of the locust outbreak, which now affects seven East African countries, they eat every crop in sight, including tree leaves and thatch on huts.

I saw that Toody, about murder hornets. They are killing honey bees, and people.

heard this morn about more of this killer bees... I don;t believe they kill you in less you are allergic to bee anyway ... then they might ... need to worry more about them killing the honey bees and those that pollinate our plants...they go after an kill them ... not good ...

I saw a video of this guy who purposely caught one of these Murder Hornets and let himself be stung on his arm. The guy was definitely in a lot of pain. If someone gets multiple stings from these it can kill a person. Another video showed how these hornets attack the hives of honey bees and kill them by decapitating them. The honey bees got the last say in the matter. When a scout Murder Hornet landed on the honey bees nest the honey bees lured it inside the nest where the honey bees swarmed all over the hornet with multiple honey bees thick all around the hornet. It got so hot that the hornet was burned to death.

the OP was not posting about killer BEES - this is a thread about Murder HORNETS. there is a huge difference. poetry actually stated the facts of my video link accurately.
