Whenever shall women actually believe in equality?
The day after men begin having the babies.
you got that right ...
I was about to start a topic about women and equal pay and their rights ...
they where saying women are going to be cheated out of their jobs becouse they have to watch their children and do the work at the same time and some are saying that was not going to fly in their company's an will let them go ...
well of course that is wrong... but thought of a fix ... since they can not put them in day care hire a babysitter for your home ... kids will more then likely not go back to school becouse of the virus ... let them make some $ and be a nanny for a bit ... while women work in their homes ... sure they would have to be tested but some kid should start a biz doing this ... any other ideas for women that are working from home now ... becouse of the virus ... so they do not loose their jobs ... pay a family member... someone from church maybe ...
Such things should be taken care of by the government and laws, not by having people sod around. What if you have no family or not nearby? What if you're not a churchie?
Plus, when you work 8 hours a day you're gone for some 10 hours (breaks, travel time) meaning you'd have to pay for 10 hrs baby-sitting while you only earn for 8 hours. Even over here with quite decent minimum wages that's almost impossible to cough up.
Over here women can not get fired when they get pregnant. They get a specific nr of weeks off around the time of birth. I've had an employer who got me in as a teacher to fill in for a pregnant teacher. I worked for months on end until she got back. So they had 2 people on the payroll all that time.
Men also get X amount of 'daddy days' after the child is born so they too get the chance to spend time with their child.
All that stuff is taken care of by law. There are daycare centres for kids of working parents.
