covid has taken over our county as one of the worse places to be ... with Brazil in second ... I feel so negative with what I am hearing ... and believe that they should be getting ready to take action with the schools for the young and the older ... really need a miracle for them all to go back . in the fall ... so what do you believe ... should they have a back up plan for these kids with know internet ... they can't all go to the library... I see some talking about the vaccine... well again they are talking safely for one nxt yr ...
the unemployed they can't just leave them hanging ... they need to get in gear with thinking about all of this before lets say nxt yr ... and healthcare people can not pay these bills from this virus ... and they know thats ... another reason they are trying to get those in their with regular issues ... to pay the bills ... but is unsafe ... anyone about the future for our lives ... they want the economy back well you have to get to the real issues before that can get stabilized ... we do not need another war to do that for us either ... people have had enough ... of these never ending wars as people suffer here ...

Our leaders and government don’t care about the citizens of this country. If you see all the bills sending money to big and small business then you know we’re not getting any help there. The only way change is gonna happen is when we vote for people who sincerely care about us and our country. Like the saying goes “ United we stand, divided we fall”.

I saw last night a show ...someone being told they needed to go on a ventilator ... it was a grim out come ... most all ages are getting this now ... they say wear a mask ... and wash hands an do not touch your eyes or ears ... till clean... an I am really sadden that one of the best WVU disease specialist was fired ... I do not know why... she is a wonderful women in her field ... and hope this does not cause her any repercussions from this ... anyone who heard from her ... felt comfort ... an new she is a great doctor... this virus is getting out of control ... I always said it is a silent killer sometimes ... all over the country has been a nightmare for people that has to go through this and those who try their best to save them.... and this is just the first wave and the no. are unbelievable ... just horrid ... an tired of the blame most know where to put it... but this needs to get under control ... just heard some one say yesterday... we are out of test ... not sure what area they where from ... but one of our counties ... I can't believe their are some ...putting children at risk and older kids ... so far their has been not very good results ... now Harvard is not opening ... all work will be done on line ... why can't the younger kids have work on line ... or send the home work to them or have pickup ... even hearing the bus drivers fears of having children open on the bus now ... do they take their temps ...an at the school; doors ... looking at the board of education now ... these children need to be safe... not used as a experiment ...

I think it comes down to containment and then vaccine, and life will go on. How long that can mix with the entitlement/instant gratification 'capitalist' culture, who knows?

It sounds more like monarchy / oligarchy

And if you look at Communistic Culture then

Communism = Power of the Gun ( political attribute) = expansionism (to contain the unrest of the citizens) = leading to Napoleanic Wars

So if Capitalism expands from a sense of entitlement then Communism expands from a base of containment of its own citizens

As children in democracies are contained at home, children in China, the Koreas, Vietnam, Japan (monarchy) are in school as usual. In other words, China has stolen away an academic year of children all over the world.

Hi mystical ., during our lockdown children were educated at home .. either through Zoom video links to teachers or resource packs sent out to homes . Schools only reopened once community transmission was controlled .

It seems in America that states are fragmented and operating independently on how they handle the virus . Not sure where you are . Or what your state’s covid status is . Has anyone petitioned govt .. you do have a voice .. if you are unhappy with they way covid is being handled , your community needs to speak up , as a collective . How do educators feel ???they too have a voice .

National education requirements (k-12) follow a "Golden Rule".

To teach citizen's children baseline knowledge so they have a common understanding to be part of the society.

As the child grows older, the baselines change and are often accented with electives and career instruction. At that time, the child's own interests drive the education. The school system merely provides reference, resources and direction.

By the freshman year of high school, a child should have the basic understanding of common knowledge to begin a rational self-direction.
Prior to that, fundamental teaching is needed.

Parents, if doing what is best for their children, will seek out resources to provide education according to the child's needs. Since the pandemic, many resources have become available to parents of children of all ages to provide them with the ability to not only teach the required learning but to expand the child's interests in many areas.

Schools, and the teachers they employ, are there to assist parents in the teaching process, not to replace them.

It is all parent's duty, to their children, to teach them what is needed to survive within society. If schools are not available but other resources are, it is the parents obligation to assure those resources are made available to their children.

Blaming a pandemic is not an excuse for not performing your parenting duty.
Many parents home-schooled their children before the pandemic and many of those children went on to lead fulfilling lives with good careers and good life skills.

Many schools offer equipment to low income households. Many low-income households already have access to cell phones. Many public places offer free WI-fi 24/7 whether they are open or not. Nearly all .edu and all .org websites are free and non-profit.
School sponsored/teacher sponsored reference materials are available for download 24/7.
Teaching games are available on nearly all flash game websites.

Your child's continued education during this pandemic is directly related to your own dedication to your child.
The resources are available right now.
