I'm watching the series Medium again. I have seen it a couple times before. I always like it because I too am very intuitive and sensitive. It is based on reality. Alison Dubois does exist.
But this time watching it I notice some stuff that's kind of weird.
Her kids are also intuitive and see stuff (mine do too btw) and they don't like it. Then the parents behave like "Well, it is what it is, you gotta learn to live with it. I do too."
And that's such nonsense! You can learn to filter it, and to basically switch it on-off. If my child(ren) were bothered by such things I'd most certainly protect them and/or teach them to do this. (and I have had to do that in the past)
Also, whenever she dreams, she wakes her husband. WTF for? Leave the man be! And he puts up with it, night after night, year in year out. How selfish of her!
She sometimes mistakes dead people for real living ones and this results in her having to pay top dollar for rescue operations that turn out to be of a skeleton.
How can she as such a great medium not know/see/sense the person is not alive?
Then she goes even further. Whenever she has a dream and allegedly knows something -which often is true- she phones the DA and/or the detective in the middle of the friggin' night because she wants them to take action??!! In the middle of the night??
One time she dreamt of this boy who'd fallen in a natural phosphorous cave that is really deep. Then she goes searching for him, alone!!?? What if she falls in herself?
Really weird, and it makes me wonder if the real Alison Dubois -who is a councillor/adviser for the series- did that idiotic stuff herself too.
I still find it a highly enjoyable series, but some of these things sometimes irritate me.
