love 80s metal! All I ever listen to, and the 90s, metal isn't the same as it was then

That grudge and rap rock just doesn't add up to the hair metal bands. I will say this though I do like Godsmack.

It was the best era of metal , it will never be equaled nor surpassed..every structure and kind of metal was born from that place in time..also, the best guitarists, singers and drummers were made then..it was a metal dream come true then

I couldn't get past the dance beat of most bands that were considered metal or hard rock. The MTV era was in full swing and every musician had to be a model.
I don't put music on to see a model, I like to hear the talent and passion that a band can do.
I'm sorry but Bon Jovi and Billy Squire didn't cut it. 1991 came along and Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden taught the world how to rock again.

Hell yes...80's metal (and a fair amount of pop) was the best. I was only ages 4-14 in the 80's, but i can unequivocally say it was the best decade of the last 50 years by a pretty fair amount.

Crue, Priest, Scorpions, Dokken, old Metallica, even Duran Duran were all great. I always thought what followed in the 90's pailed in comparison. You know when it became uncool to actually be good at your instrument and the guy (or gal) onstage looked no different than the person standing next to you. But i guess that is what some found appealing about it. Not me.

There was more talent in Bon Jovi than the entire Seattle grunge scene. They just looked better as well.
