This is just too cute .. road closed in nz for a month to allow a seal mum to get from the golf course to the beach , to feed her new pup smitten

I am a big fan of conservation and the efforts of my country . Sadly not everyone in nz is protective of our marine life . There have been reports in the past of seals and dolphins harmed by idiots . Those people exist in every country . On the whole New Zealanders are very caring .

It was certainly a big awwww moment for me . I often have seals visit my beach and I worry for the pups when mum leaves them to go off fishing . Always a relief to see them safe .

Aww, I envy you. I was able to see a bunch of seals on an island in Maine, they were adorable. I miss the wildlife I saw regularly when I was traveling.

I imagine it would be worrisome when the pups are alone. Hopefully no one bothers them. I'm glad this mum and pup have the community looking out for them. :)

Will be watching their progress . Sea lions can be very dangerous especially when threatened . Hopefully they will enjoy the serenity of the golf course and there are no wayward golf balls . Looking forward to seeing them both back in the ocean .
