I always thought there was a shaming stigma attached to women who only want sex. In the US you often hear those women being called sluts or whores. At least that was how it was offline, I'm not so sure about online or dating sites. Or if that stigma is still attached. Based on some of the comments I've heard in the forums, it seems to be.

As far as men were concerned, those that were only looking for sex were considered to be "sowing their oats". It was considered normal for the young guys to sow their oats, but young women were supposed to be ladylike. Though I'm not sure who the young men were supposed to have sex with if it was inappropriate for young women to do so, haha.

I believe if a woman wants to seek only sex, that is her business. There is no right or wrong to it, unless she's using sex to hurt others, imo.

I've been working with couples for 20 years and clinical settings regarding relationships and intimacy etc. there's only one problem men don't understand that women think about sex as much as they do but they lack the ability to meet the emotional needs that women need in order to release themselves completely without guilt. it's that simple women think they're looked at as whores if they talk about sex a lot or only want sex when in reality both parties have very similar thinking it's just the stigma attached they don't want to risk unless you're with a man who understands the truth.

At least one man on this site thinks it is a myth that women look only for sex .

I think that is only a partial myth . There is not the same stigma /shaming attached for a woman to claim she is only looking for sex . Are men subject to the same stigma??

Hello I feel its quite alright for women to be looking for sex online and there should be more women that openly display and seek out what they want. Real men that are mature and have been around prefer women that are open minded and not afraid to let their wishes be known. Who the hell wants a "Good Girl"?

I'm not hiding it nor am I thirsty or hitting on anyone here... But I'm here JUST FIR SEX and I'm not ashamed of it. I just don't want a relationship I don't want a girlfriend and I don't want a wife it's amazing with the judges can sleep with after they make their final determination during a divorce and how bad I got screwed every time no thank you
