Growing up in Florida During the Gemini and Apollo missions Got interested in space exploration. I’m curious to see how the landing of the rover goes today. You can see this live today on the nasa channel. Pretty cool how they drop and guide the rover to a soft landing without crashing it.

I was watching the landing, so impressive! Such tension for those engineers and scientist! I graduated in Computer Science just few years ago and one of the last exams was to design a software for a controlled landing. It's something very very very difficult, and ours was just a simulation, it didn't matter how many time you crashed... here they have one shot! On a different planet, with thin atmosphere for the parachute to slow it down, with delay due to distance... Impressive! Well done Nasa!

Wow, that sounds interesting, and impressive!

As for this Mars thingie... maybe I have watched too many SciFi movies, but I do take it they are after samples? The thing that in movies always goes wrong cos there is alien life in there?
I'm always in two minds about such mission. One hand side it's good that we become able to venture out there, on the other hand side, the potential risks...

Parachute couldn’t slow it by itself but that jet pack did the job. Very cool indeed.
