@ Cyrstal... Fortunately they have everyone use a step to get on the horses. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to get on one without it.

I'm finding it's not as easy to do the things I did when I was younger. But I'm still determined to do those things... even if it takes me a few days to recover, haha. Right now I'm very much in need of a huge tub that I can just soak in for a few hours.
@ Dee... Yep, I'll be doing the same as it continues to cool down. I'll want that hot weather I complained about to come back.

It's been in the 80's the last couple days and will continue to be that until around Monday. Then that's the last of it, according to the forecast. It will be in the 60's and 70's until late September. Towards the end of September, it's expected to dip down into the 20's at night.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well.
I can totally understand having to recover! I think I'd need a tub or hot spring and a physio treatment, hahaha.
But I can also understand you want to do it anyways as it's just a helluva lot of fun! I've never really learnt to ride just in safe settings, not out in the wide open. But something about being on a horse always felt so familiar! Maybe a past life thing? The smell of the leather and horse, the creaking of the saddle, the way the horse moves etc. It just feels so damned good!
I can really understand you wanting to do it, even a longer trip! I hope it works out and you get to do it.
