The past week has certainly been interesting, and a definite test of how much resilience and patience I have, haha. I started out early on Monday, so I could do a little sight seeing along the way. Only Mother Nature stepped in and I was snowed in for a couple of days. Then with all the construction on the roads, both the highways and the Interstates, it took a lot longer to get here than I anticipated. The last two days were like shopping days for some women, I drove til I was about to drop,
My cabin in Hot Springs will be ready at 3pm, that gives me plenty of time this morning to take my time driving the scenic route. And stop to get some photos. Then explore Hot Springs a little before checking into my cabin. Can't wait to sit outside, under the stars, with a nice little campfire.
I will, of course, wait until the sun comes before heading out. Before heading out, I will treat myself to a nice breakfast at the IHOP (International House of Pancakes). I love their fruit and nut covered pancakes.

Then get that oil change I was supposed to get in Rock Springs, haha. I pretty sure Gypsy (my car) will appreciate having, and run much smoother over the mountains with, a fresh supply of oil. So far, since leaving in April, she's ran great and together we traveled a total of 10,104 miles

with one oil change after about 6,000 miles.
The lower elevation seems to be agreeing with me... Absolutely no vertigo symptoms with driving the last three days, yay!
