All I ever think about, is the movie Black Sunday.

A black Sunday event, is far less likely
in current times, than when the 1977ish(?) movie
was filmed.

With carbon fiber technology, gondolas could be very light comparerd to those used in the blimping heyday.
The only problem I see is the fact people (in general) are in a rush most of the time.
It would be great for a vacation trip but I don't see it used much for business trips.
Probably cheaper than flying but much slower and lower.
You don't see Goodyear making tire deliveries coast to coast with a blimp.

If memory of aviation history serves me,
it took at least four days to cross the Atlantic
between Europe and the U.S., during the heyday
of dirigible travel.

Every so often on the coast, during festivals and carnivals you see hot air balloon rides. I think that would be cool so I can see the 'vacation/entertainment' value of offering Blimpie destinations as a vacation tour package.
Plus, there's money in vacation tour packages. Just look at cruise ships.
