This is my personal opinion. No bashing. It depends on the people involved. There are some who just want sex, then they can look for partners who want the same thing. There are people who want the committed relationship. Then they try to look for partners who are on the same page as they are.
One very important aspect of Love is intimacy. If intimacy cannot be achieved because one or many reasons, then the couple should have to communicate with their partners. Moreso they can seek professional help. There are a lot of ways to express intimacy.
