Congratulations on the original MTV turning 40 !

MTV died 30 years ago..

It may not be on tv anymore running for hours on end but is there anyone on here like me where they miss showing those videos? Where music videos were music videos? Sure you can watch them on YouTube or buy most on DVD but it was much cooler watching them on tv during that time. I know on Sunday’s on MTV Classics from 7am-12pm they show I Want My 80’s. Now it’s all reality show crap that I don’t watch.

Very much so miss it.. I saw the very first video they broadcasted. It's a shame what became of it.

I only watch the show Ridiculousness on MTV.

MTV was really good when it first started and then evolved to something much more. Lets face facts here, if it wasn't for MTV there wouldn't be reality TV.
