I’m curious to know if anyone on here is still a fan of old school contemporary Christian music. Hope to hear and have a good reply . List the bands or artists you liked or still like.

I love the band with vocalist Simon Khorolskiy, especially the 2 title songs Holy Is the Lord and Sing Hallelujah To The Lord.

I am not sure how "Contemporary" Contemporary Christian Music is. But these are the ones I love to listen to.

I still like The Maranatha Singers and Al Green's music before and after he became a Christian. Also DC Talk.

Petra,Stryper,and Casting Crowns have made so much good music. Keith Green is my favorite classic CCM solo artist. John Schlitt, a former lead singer of Petra,has been releasing phenomenal music. Michael Sweet,the lead singer of Stryper,has been releasing high quality music. I highly recommend the first two Sonicflood albums.

Some other artists I liked were WhiteCross, WhiteHeart and for me a local one from Waterloo Iowa Fighter.also coming out this Friday is a film titled “The Jesus Music” based on artists from “The Jesus Movement”. I got to tell you that I honestly didn’t know such music was around until a close friend of our family gave me my first Petra “Beyond Belief” cassette. I told myself I’m probably not going to like it but after listening to it a few times I’ve been a fan of Petra’s ever since. Both Greg X Volz and John Schlitt are good.

I’ve seen Third Day twice and truly believe they have some of the best Christian music in the world today Third Day has been together for a long time and some of my favorite songs are Thief.
