Pork Sinigang(pork Sour and Savoury Soup)
Ingredients:
1/2 kl of Pork Liempo cut into medium Cubes
4 to 5 cups of water (times 2)
u can mix Chicken Buillon (optional)note:someone might ask its a pork recipe why chicken Buillon,its me cooking so its my preference and im sharing it lol..but yeah better taste
1 pouch of Sinigang Mix(Preferably with Gabi/Taro/Tamarind Mix,or Sinigang from Filipino/Asian Store or use Lemon Juice
1 tsp Patis (Fish Sauce)
1 cup of string beans chopped
1 cup egg plant chopped
1/2 cup radish cut in cubes
1 cup kangkong (Swamp cabbage leaves)if available in your location or just opt out)
2 Green chili
2 cloves of garlic
1 onion
3 tsp of salt or according to taste
Cooking Procedures:
In 4 Cups of water I usually boil the meat for 4 5 minutes then strain the water and changeanother 4 or 5 cups of new water to boil. Add garlic, onion and long green chili (not the Spicy Bird eye chili) Cover and simmer for 15 minutes
Add boulion cubes and sinigang mix(filipino store might have this)or use Lemon but not same taste with a tamarind (pound or mash and squeeze the juice, simmer for another 10 minutes.
Add salt and patis(fish sauce) to taste
Add raddish and eggplant for another 4 minutes till vegetable is cook (do not over cook it)
Add the remaining vegetables string beans and Swamp cabbage
Serve while hot with rice.
