Is there not any actual guys on here that are not pretending to be something their not and thats actually between the ages of 31-43 . Even girls ! Jesus . People are so consumed of what people think they have to pretend to be something their not

What it boils down to is whether you want to live life according to you or according to other people's ideas of who they think you should be.
I believe this is a condition caused by social media.
Since MySpace and Facebook hit the scene people online have gone out of their way to get 'likes' and fit in with the social temperature.
This has always existed but now, they are trying to fit in and be liked by people of which they have no actual real-life connection.
Human beings are social creatures. Before the internet, social acceptance was personal and in your face real. Now, social acceptance is virtual and impersonal. There is very little personal accounting for the claims made.
Then, when an actual real-life connection is made, the virtual acceptance is harder to maintain and the true person shines thru. This makes for trust issues and hurt feelings.
Nobody want to associate with someone who lies to them (at least most people don't)
As people age and grow wiser and more experienced, they have less need to be accepted as pretext to their own self-worth. They are more comfortable with who they actually are and are less concerned about how a social group thinks of them. Unless they have self-esteem issues...
