Okay, going to ask you for inspiration & help!

I want to make a new quiz for a dating site as the ones I got are getting ancient!
Thing is, you have to make 3 open questions and 3 MC questions with answers the men can choose from. 1 or a few of these answers must be "wrong" when checked, and at least 1 has to be correct and lead to the next question. After all it's a selection tool.

Now the open questions is easy. I've got plenty of those to choose from. But the MC questions is where I'm stuck!!
I want questions that are interesting to fill out and at the same time give me some insight in the man that replies.
So not the boring stuff I see so much, like "What can I wake you up for in the middle of the night?" or "Sex on a first date?" etc. etc.

Anyone got a good idea for MC questions that can be both lighthearted and fun, yet still give me a little insight in a man? So NOT open questions, got plenty of those!

I'd really appreciate the help!

Sounds exciting. I would love to help or contribute, but I also don't know what a "MC" question is...

Crystal did the site give you any examples ... perhaps you could post a couple to show how it links to the next question . waving

It's just MC questions like you have had a gazillion times at school only now related to dating.

It could be like:
What holiday do you like?
A camping
B hotel
C all inn
D camper

So just like in school and you don't see which answer(s) I have allocated as X or a V.

If I have it set up like this:
What holiday do you like?
A camping --- X
B hotel ---- V
C all inn --- V
D camper ----X

He'd go to question 2 if he'd chosen either B or C.
Had he chosen A or D he's a goner and cannot finish the quiz.

I'm looking for different questions, more insightful stuff without it becoming too serious/stuffy as then no one will fill it out.

thanks for the explanation . The multiple question tests I did in school had right and wrong answers but all questions were answered regardless . By linked I thought you were referring to a continuation .

The most insightful info would come from the open questions . Any closed questions where you are providing /limiting the answers is biased so I wouldnt overthink them. Stick with light hearted / fun .

As a shop manager I was tasked with writing, giving and assessing safety and operations training which included testing.
I had to write my own questions and most were multiple choice.

I find your project a fun idea.

When assessing a potential date specifically, 20 questions might seem a bit over-the-top crazy.
However, on a general dating website, where curiosity drives the outcome, it might be a way to understand the nature of people (in general).

As a non-directional question system, gender should be neutral. Worded in such a way either sex could answer them.

There might be a separation page where each gender can click for questions related to their gender. Again, these would need to be generalized questions and would not be a good guide for a specific person.

The best way to assess the personality of a specific person is to talk with them face to face.

Now, I'll throw some questions out there for you to consider. You may not want to use the exact question/answers but they may inspire you in creating your own...

On the first meet, where would you prefer it take place?

1) In Public; A shopping center or store, restaurant or food place, amusement park or entertainment venue.

2) In Nature; a fishing spot, swimming hole or lake/ocean beach.

3) Surrounded by Friends; a party or reunion, a friends house or yard, a favorite hangout spot.

4) In Private; your house, my house, in one of our cars.

Each answer can tell you many things about the person answering. They can also tell you many things about yourself in how 'you' would answer.
Each answer has merit according to the reasons you meet. Technically, there is no actual wrong answer for everyone. This method of question/answer allows you the ability to assess intent for the meet. It also tells much about how the person answering thinks and whether they are emotionally secure.

For assessing a potential date, any questions/answers which assess personal self-esteem will be important. Self-esteem is usually directly related to ego and self-image.
These types of questions must be worded in such a way as to not offend. Written in such a way to make every potential answer appealing to each type of ego.

When we meet, what personality trait will I find best about you?

1} I'm a happy person who doesn't take life too seriously. You have to be able to laugh at life.

2} I'm a sensible person who always has a reason for the things I say and do. You always know where you stand with me.

3} I'm always on time and I keep my plans no matter what. My personal discipline is important to me.

4} I'm extremely flexible. I make time to do what is important to me. I really like trying new things.

Each of these answers are right according to the personality of the one answering.
Each answer gives you insight as to how they will act when with you.
Depending upon what you want in your life, each has the potential to get you there but they also have potential to make you miserable.

Anyway, here's two to jump start your thread.
I'm sure other minglers will have more to suggest.

Thank you, Tom! That is very helpful and stuff I can work with for sure!
I'll have to think about it as at least 1 answer has to be 'wrong'. (it's a dating site gadget, or whatever you call it, and without min. 1 wrong and 1 right answer I cannot enter the question)
But this is great and will help me along :)

Thank you as this might indeed get my topic rolling again as well!

nice work tom bigsmile Based on what crystal described and her example .. the person setting the question chooses what default answers are needed to proceed to the next question .. I may have misunderstood that .

The weather does not affect me at all, unless I am cycling

But the pattern is, 2x quiet stuff with your partner, quality time as I call it.
