^^^^ Going to the ER with a toothache????
I'm quite certain the ER here would send you away unless it's an emergency for instance after an accident. But a regular toothache... go see your dentist!
Same with a cut finger. I don't think anyone in their right mind would go to the ER. That's for the GP.

I think that's one reason our system works better: having GPs.
In the evenings & weekends there's the GP post in a small former hospital, so kind of like a mini GP ER.
Dentists always have a dentist on call as well during weekends and evenings.

You have to visit an ER in Ireland. You will see everything from broken bones to skin rashes indifferent

Anyway, the health sytem in Ireland is in bits for decades, yet people do not appreciate the hard work of nurses, care staff, domestic staff, etc. Workers, who are not to blame for the failure of the health system, but who are always the first port of call for agressive/frustrated patients.
