Both CBD and THC have many documented health benefits, and while some people still smoke weed for the high, thereβs a generation of people that use it responsibly. In the latter, I find that no different than drinking. It can be life changing for people suffering from epilepsy or multiple sclerosis, going through cancer treatment, etc., It may be hard to believe, but studies have found that moderate consumption helps increase lung compactly. Weβve come a long way from the days of far out and groovy man, and I say, donβt knock it unless youβve tried it.
I think in the States you have these points where people can get medicinal marijuana with a special permit thing?
I'm not sure if we have that over here. Weed is legal here so you can just go to a coffee shop to buy it and choose which type you want.
Difference with medicinal weed is that it's altered and mostly CBD and recreational weed has much higher THC levels.
And I know these days -at least over here- the weed that is grown is much much stronger than it used to be in the past.
You can buy pre-rolled joints as well. Big risk, hihi. My ex could handle quite a lot but a few puffs from pre-rolled took even his head off.
The same with an English friend who smoked regularly, but not Dutch weed of course, what he could get in the UK. He did a few puffs from pre-rolled, and almost turned green, purple, green, purple.
Problem was he still had to perform at a gig, and he did but it wasn't easy.
And then back to youngsters, 15-19 yrs old... they smoke loads of that stuff. They can easily handle a pre-rolled too. Sure they get high, that's what they want.
Since their brains aren't fully developed and it does have an unhealthy impact that can be lasting... it IS a problem.
I've smoked occasionally for a few years, went from weed to hash. Never really got high, I was a very light smoker so to speak. I never noticed any health benefits like pain alleviation. Just that it affects your gums and teeth and I didn't even smoke much.
I decided to stop, never touched it again, don't miss it, never have.
And I don't want anyone smoking the stuff in my house either. I can't stand the smell.
I'm not a fan. Too many people use it, forget it's a drug, and they use it as a life-style.
Go to Amsterdam. You constantly smell it all over the place.
Smoking a joint has become the new normal baseline for many people.
I don't think that's a good thing.
