Had a really interesting conversation with my girlie last night about the society being rotten, the ones in power, their money etc. etc.

Afterwards I was thinking about something I forgot whilst talking:
There is so called old money and nouveau riche. The latter even mentioned in the Titanic movie, and looked down upon.
The first group are the ones that go way way back like the Rothschilds, apparently also our royals etc.

Now I'm thinking... these days we have a fast increasing group of nouveau riche, self-made millionaires, as so many start their own business. Most do so because they're fed up with the system and its limitations, and because they have a passion.
Especially fempreneurs are on the rise like you wouldn't believe, and many of them make a helluva lot of money (7 digits).

These nouveau riche have nothing to do with the old money and their schemes and secret dark agenda. I actually think most abhor that as that's where the systems stem from that limited them as well.

Now could this growing group of nouveau riche be a powerful counterpart for the old rich? As in help tip the scales of what is not working in societies?
Aren't they a new power and generally without that creepy agenda? These new richies are mostly from a younger generation so won't they have new refreshing ideas?
The money of the nouveau riche is spread out over many more people than the old money as the latter is a relatively small group that basically runs the world.
The nouveau riche may have less per individual -not the level of for instance Jeff Bezos or Donald Trump- but combined they still hold a helluva lot of money that they use in very different ways. Plus a larger group cannot so easily unite as there are too many different views and opinions.

I'm not an economist or anything, just thoughts I'm having.
What do you think?

In theory taxes exist to redistribute wealth.

So that 'new' rich and 'old' rich pay the
same death duties.

Of course, they like to re-elect their own kind,
which can change the tax laws to benefit the wealthy.

Now, does it help to have the $$ just change hands?
(Inheritance.)

Probably..they are younger and seemingly climate/
environmental conscious, some seem more generous.

I believe they are an entity, a force to be
reckoned with and their political $$ contributions are
capable of shaping elections.

Thank you for your feedback!
My daughter also came up with inheritance. Apparently some younger woman in Austria will inherit a huge lump and she feels this should be taxed by some 95% as it's not right.
I do not necessarily agree with that.

And yes younger ones should indeed be different, wiser, more into environmental stuff etc. etc.
What I've seen happen from a coach I worked with is this: she's now earning 7 digits a year. Her partner also has her own company, and their shared 4 children -somewhere around 15-23 yrs of age- are also starting their own thing. They get the know-how from mom who's a business coach so it's embedded in their genes.
An entire family -6 people- that are nouveau riche, self-made millionaire and on their way to becoming that.

I've also learnt that rich people often start charities concerning things that are close to their heart and invest a helluva lot of money in this. NOT because it's tax deductible, but because they care, want to see change, and have the means to set this up.
A bit like Meghan Markle who has always been about equal rights for women and girls, wanting them to be able to study, work, and be truly equal etc. etc. She started with this when she was just about 10 years old!

Anywho, thank you for your feedback. Appreciated as I find this a very interesting subject to ponder :)

I think the 'newer' monied realize that all
the cash in the world will not help if
something else disrupts the planet.

Birds of a feather flock together.

New money is in bed with old money. Old money got rich by industry. The new industry is tech. Tech has an upper hand as far as capability, but they need the old guard to protect them. Nothing will change...(except maybe the disappearance of the middle class) just the players may change.

I do like what Elon Musk is doing, and what he stands for. He seems like us peasant's only hope to keep things in check.
