Does the Quran ever mention Jesus by his name? It amazes me that the Bible calls him by the Roman version of his name - effectively naming him according to his cultural enemies. It seems a huge insult.

In the Quran, Jesus' name is Issa‎, son of Maryam – Mary – and he is called by other attributes, such as: “worshiper of God,” which is an attribute that characterizes God’s prophets and messengers. Jesus said about himself, “I am the worshiper of God” when he uttered a child. God said: "He (Jesus) was only a worshiper whom We favored and We made him an example to the Children of Israel."

God said: "Indeed, the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, is only a Messenger (and Prophet) of God, and His Word (Be) which He gave to Mary, and a (created) spirit by Him."

God said:
When the disciples said: 'O (Prophet) Jesus, son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table from heaven? ' He replied: 'Have fear of God, if you are believers. '
'We wish to eat of it, ' they said, 'so that we can satisfy our hearts and know that what you said to us is true, and that we become witnesses to it. '
' God, our Lord, ' said (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary, 'send down upon us a table out of heaven, that shall be a festival for us the first and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us; You are the Best of providers. '
God replied: 'I am sending it to you. But whoever of you disbelieves thereafter I shall punish him with a punishment that I do not punish anyone from the worlds. '

No wonder people get lost in religion. All this is very difficult to understand.

In the Quran, Jesus is described as the Messiah (al-Masīḥ), born of a virgin, performing miracles, accompanied by disciples, rejected by the Jewish establishment, and being raised to heaven. The Quran asserts that Jesus wasn't crucified nor died on the cross, but was miraculously saved by God.

4 Just as they do with all the other prophets, including Mohammed, devout Muslims recite “peace be upon him” after every time they refer to Jesus by name.

5 Muslims believe that Jesus performed miracles: The Qur’an discusses several of Jesus’s miracles, including giving sight to the blind, healing lepers, raising the dead, and breathing life into clay birds.

6 The story of Jesus’s birth as told in the Qur’an is also the story of his first miracle, when he spoke as an infant in the cradle and declared himself to be a prophet of God.


So although Muslims do not believe that Jesus is the son of God — a critically important distinction between Muslim and Christian views of him — Muslims do revere Jesus as an important prophet.

The expression “son of God” used in the Bible has caused a lot of confusion and has been misunderstood.
The term "Son of God" does not mean that Jesus is the Son of God in the human sense of a father and son. God is not the father of Jesus. God did not marry the Virgin Mary or any other woman to give birth to Christ together.
God never took a partner for himself. Christians have never believed in such things because they are not in the Bible and therefore do not fall within the Christian faith.
Jesus is unique in being the full manifestation of God in human form (John 1:1, 14). Jesus is not just a prophet who was given the power of God to perform miracles. Jesus is greater than any man or prophet.

I have older friends who are Converted Muslims for years and they do NOT believe in celebrating the Son of God (Jesus).

Sadly,I pray for them. Because the Truth is the LIGHT and Jesus is the key to Heaven. Only through Faith and Trust in the Savior can you be Saved, from separation from God for eternity.

Today is the Day of Salvation, the Truth will set you free.

Study the Bible, Mohomet has no where to put you.
