This morning I went to respond to someone new and I find a splash-Ad saying I've been given 20 coins. What does this mean? I can't message unless I use coins which is rubbish!

You have to use the 'free 20 coins' from the splash screen that comes up! Likely that when the 20 are gone you are onto a track that then means you've got to buy more making Mingle no longer free for 'basic'

Thinking its going to no longer be free!

Why do you imply getting 20 free coin is lucky????

I cannot reply to new people without using the mingle coin splash token.

It will deplete down to zero and then I believe it will ask for payment.

This only happened this morning!

They put it there like it is a 'gift'

Just got a response from Mingle2 after I asked them what this coin update is, exactly, via the Contact Us, option.

As for your concern, we would like to confirm that our app is free. We provide users with the basic feature to chat and talk freely after matching. The two users are matched if they both send "Hi or "Like" to each other. This way, the users can rest assured that they both are interested in each other.

There are some ways for you to get free coins in our app. You can receive free coins by logging in the app, uploading your profile video, and inviting friends. Free coins are limited to 2000. The daily free coins will be added after 24 hours from the last time you received the free coins.

And there ya go, they are giving ya coins free to use on the UPGRADE Feature to most likely to see if they can get more to Upgrade but it is not necessary to upgrade to utilize the site..

I am new and i clicked on the gold circle on top of page. its the coins. 700 coins is $19.99 and prices go up. There is NO information. This is a slick con job by this company. I am not going to pay for little pictures of coins to talk to someone.
RIP-OFF in the first days i am here.

So I've used 15 coins to talk with ONE new contact leaving in my case 5 coins.

Will Mingle2 staff please say what happens next!

Will I be able to still reach out to new contacts for free??

I don't want to suddenly find I'm discriminated upon by a con or a scam!

I never asked for any free coins so why was I given them?

Also, the block button on the app, is only visible if able to bring up a message but that will now cost us 15 coins to block fakes and scammers.

Another detrimental feature of M2
I had to update the app to get on today.
Gave me 20 coins, to talk to those I " liked" and I don't know yet if it applies for all messages.
And now my pic is no longer in a rectangle view but a circle-- Absolutely HATE looking at faces in a circle, especially my own.

Read all the replies and I STILL am unsure what these coins mean. TXGal came close, I think, to explaining what it means. I'm just now logging in so we'll see what happens. Hopefully nothing much has changed for the normal use (not upgraded use).

Would be nice if Mingle would reach out and ASK US what we want on the site. They sure could use the input.
