The only tradition in my family is Frankfurter sausages and potato salad for Christmas Eve.

This year will be special though. Not only because of home made potato salad by me, but it will be the first time since 2003, I will be able to spend Christmas with my parents.

The only thing I have left is talking to my sister on the phone. We don't live near each other.

We always turn on the Christmas songs while we're decorating, and that night we'll start the tradition of one Christmas movie every night until Christmas day.

Still adding more...

Thanks, Tom. I've listened to quite of few of the playlists. Love the instrumental ones in the background while I'm working. I haven't checked out the movies yet, but will when we're all together, so we can choose a few.

Thank you all for sharing your stories. We've (yep, I can speak for everyone:expressionless:), all thoroughly enjoyed them. This is one of the things my family does each year as well....go around the room and retell a fave memory from Christmas past.

Have you seen those cheesy families all in their matching PJs? Well, look carefully, pretty sure my family is in there somewhere:sweat_smile:. I just bought our matching PJs for this year. Only difference with the ones you typically see, is that our PJ consists of just a bottom (not the matching top). I've bought two of the most Christmassy ones I could find (they are super cute). Each person gets to choose their own top. However, the top must reflect Christmas (so gotta have a pic of a snowman, Santa, snowflake etc.). We've been doing this for 12 years now, so everyone has a wide selection to choose from. No one knows yet that we're getting new bottoms this year (Christmas Eve reveal).
