A man was sentenced to seven years in prison for stealing millions.



Two years into his sentence, he received a letter from his father:
“Son, I’m old and sick. This is planting season, but I have no one to plow the field and plant the corn.
I wish you were here to help me. Take care, always.”
The son wrote back:
“Dad, whatever you do, please don’t dig anywhere on the farm.
That’s where I hid all the money I stole.
Just wait until I’m released.”
Since all prisoner mail is inspected, the guards read the letter.
The next day, more than a hundred officers and prison guards swarmed the father’s farm and dug up every inch of soil—
and found absolutely nothing.
The son then wrote again:
“Dear Dad, I hope you liked the help I sent.
You can plant your corn now.”
