I started knitting again somewhere in November 2022.
I'd seen a Fair Isle woolly hat and wanted to try making one myself.
It's with circular knitting needle, not my favourite.
The pattern I'd found was for a slouchy Fair Isle woolly hat.

Then when I'd finished the woolly hat I wanted a scarf to go with it so I made that too with matching colours & patterns.

I finished it last night, had to line it to stop it from curling up. I chose cobalt blue jersey for that.
Hand sewing with blanket stitch, 4 meters total, pfff!!

As it is I've started with arm warmers to match, again with circular knitting needles. But going to take it easy for a bit as the lining of the scarf was taxing on my neck & shoulders.

The pattern was with pink and yellow, wine red and whatnot but I wanted shades of blue. Added a hint of green for good measure.

Love them... you need to put that pic as your main one it's a good pic of you and the colors look great on you..

Yes it means a lot to me when I receive a gift as such.. Matter of fact I have two Afghan's one was given to me from a lady my ex use to trim her Shetland pony hooves when we were married... I have had it for about 35 years. It is browns and tans...matches my living room colors..

Another I have is from when I waited tables a regular customer I had, when she found out I was quitting in order to go to work within a office after being there for 8 years.. She made me one that is white~~ It is laying on the Daybed in my Antique Room.. it is about 27 years old...

Just seeing them always reminds me of the time I got them and who gave them to me.. good memories..

And well they last a lifetime for sure~~~

I am one that tends to hold on to such things my entire life as well, even if I normally never would've bought it myself. Just for memory's sake.
I've got a glossy brown ceramic kitsch well that my dad bought his mother -my granny- when he was a young lad. It's from 1956 (date at the bottom).
No one wanted it as it really isn't all that pretty, too shiny for that. It's the style that gipsies would have in their mobile homes. (over here people living in mobile homes are typically descendants from the gypsies, Romany).
But when my dad passed away I wanted it nonetheless. And lo' and behold, I manage to actually make it look good and fit in with my other stuff! It looks miraculously good with my Pagan statues?!

I've got a similar tendencies with songs. Songs that I first heard via another person that was in my life for a few months or so but that I really liked.
Not lovers, roommate and friends from the past that were very dear to me.

A bunch of the woollen fairies I've made a number of years ago.
Each was commissioned as I made these intuitively and as such they came with a reading. I never knew upfront what would come up. Hair colour & style, clothes, crystal etc. etc. were all intuitively chosen.
While I made a fairy the reading came through. When done, the fairy & reading were sent to the person that had ordered it.

I think I've done some 50 total. Once made 9 total for a larger family, hubby & wife, all the kids, her sister etc. One of the boys had to be a Merlin! That was a new one on me!

I've also made a few for babies which was very special to do!
