As someone once said here in Mingle2, "You can't expect to find the one for you living next door" So we can expect some travelling, but in my opinion better to look closer to home. I do agree that should you find someone online that you would like to get to know, but lives very far away, then you are in for the long haul because it will take time to get to know them, and before that begins you need to meet in person in my opinion.

Distance - May or May not, Depends on the reason to travel.

Distance does matter. Don't you want to sit next to someone and talk? I'm not spending years talking to someone long distance.
