In my opinion providing both are over 18 and free to marry age doesn't matter, it's a personal choice, but most people prefer to find someone in their own age group for many valid reasons.

Underage issues aside I really think it depends on the people involved. From my perspective a large age gap doesn't work because each person in the relationship is at a different stage in their life, they have a different understanding and experience of life, different life goals and different energy levels. I'd prefer someone closer to my own age.

I don’t think age matters as long that they are both happy in the relationship, you can’t find your age mate, you either older or younger, happiness and understanding is what matters
