Since my wife died two years ago, I have tried just about any so-called "free" dating site and app that is available such as Facebook Supplemental Dating, Bumble, Mingle2, Bako, POF and so on, only to find things have gotten even more complicated since I have been off the dating "market" as it were. When you get to a certain age in your life, dating becomes just that much harder, especially if you don't have the funds to pay for a subscription. Could it really be me that is the problem or am I missing something here?

I joined a dating site about 6 month's ago...

And as you mentioned the cost of these things, which don't take into account that many people are on a low/reduced income, it becomes clear that they're mostly targeted at the affluent...

Anyway I spent around a little over £100 in 4 months and never got a face to face date either...

I ended up at the conclusion that if I had gone to a bar and spent the money in there on my date or just out socially with friends as group, I would have been a lot happier...

So I guess the long story short solution is to get out in the REAL world instead of this virtual world..

Welcome to Mingle and good luck too..

It's your choice, but mingle2 doesn't forces for subscription.. It's free dating site only if you wish for certain features to unlock, you need to pay...
I would prefer, be in forum an interact for few day's an then you can get aware an know what's much better..
Success will surely knock, if you have positive thoughts.

Welcome To Mingle2
All The Best..

I think the hardest part of dating is sifting through all the scammers.

A lot of people don't pay for dating sites. You can still find someone. I've had the best luck on sites that have forums. People can get to know you a little from your posts and you can make friends that might possibly turn into something more. So I highly recommend that you post in the forums!

Good luck to you! flowerforyou

I am trying my best to keep an open mind as much as possible. I do know that if I keep trying, I'll meet someone. I guess it's just a matter of perspective and perception.

Trust me when I say that I have seen MORE than my fair share of those "class acts" not just here but any dating site or app I have been on.

Some relationship sites are geared for serious matches.
None is free.

Oftentimes it works for many.

A purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved
