I suppose that Trump's supporters will post attempts to defend him, that is when they are not busy doing this:

I’m trying to understand how a bank would lend more money on a property than it is worth? Banks don’t do that, they get appraisals on properties they have as collateral! So who valued these properties and decided they were way overvalued? If the banks have no problems with it, then what is the lawsuit for? It certainly isn’t protecting the banks!

Biden has been a long-time crook. Hell, he was the paid servant of DuPont and the chemical companies of Delaware, and then was a stooge for the banking industry when Delaware was one of the first states to do away with "usury" (loan sharking) laws.

So the fact that Biden is dirty should be no surprise.

Donald Trump is a braggart and traitor. He really did call on Russia, China and other countries to interfere in US politics -- the subject of his first impeachment.

And traitor Trump did really rally a crowd of his supporters and order them to go to the US Capitol and "fight like hell" to overturn the certification of his election loss.

Nothing like that has ever happened in US history. Sorry, traitor Trump should have been locked up on the evening of Jan 6th except that Mike Pence is a spineless sell-out who didn't want to choose anything.

The best thing we can hope for is that both Biden and Trump are put on trial and maybe we could get some politicians running in 2024 that would not be ancient out-of-touch dinosaurs riddled with dementia.

This by itself is admission by the judge that he has already pre-determined the outcome and is grounds to dismiss the case or be a slam dunk win for Trump on appeal.

You know Letitia James is not paid by the hour, right? Overseeing a trial with her staff attorneys is easily within her job responsibilities.

it should be up to the banks that do that, when a normal citizen takes out a bank loan, its the banks you deal with.

You think the entire Attorney General's office is working solely on Trump's fraud trial?

A quick glance at the NY State AG web page shows they've got many things going on.

Everyone in the real-estate business does this. The bank reviews the appraisal and decides if the property is worth it or not. The banks approved Trumps estimates on the properties so they couldn't of been that fraudulent. The banks were paid back and they approved the monetary estimates so where is the crime? If they're gonna pull this on Trump then there's hundreds of other real-estate investors and banks guilty of the same thing. Investigate the investigators and the people who brought the charges against him. Odds are they may have committed the same fake crime.

Trump is only being sued in civil court, not criminal court, so he's not going to jail for this. Only being fined and losing his NY business licenses. Your argument that the banks made money doesn't matter. Trough Trump's fraud, he got a larger loan and a lower interest rate than otherwise eligible, so the bank lost out on income and trough tax fraud, the state lost out on tax revenue. It went both ways, and it's going to cost Trump hundreds of $millions. If everybody in the real estate business is doing it, then this case will be a strong message that they should stop it.

If you want to make banking fraud legal, then the law has to change. It's not the DA's fault that her office is doing their job.
