As someone once wrote here in Mingle2, 'you can't expect to find the right one for you living next door'. So, distance will be involved and travelling to meet each other.
In my opinion it all depends on the two people involved, and for it to work out at least one of you has to relocate so you can be together, ask yourself, are you prepared to relocate if they are unable to. Long distance relationships are not easy but they do work for some people.

i just had a look at it, it is so inspiring to see that in this cruel world, we still have this pure thing known as love.

it might be really hard but I know it's still possible, besides anyone that wants to hurt your feelings can even when the distance isn't there. I feel it's all about knowing who you're with and developing trust

okay well my point is this. distance relationship works for some people and don't work for some, but for me I will say trust is all that matters because If you plant a seed you don't dig it up everyday to check or see if it's growing, you plant a seed, water it and trust the process, if it does germinate fine and good for you and if it doesn't, try again or move on to the next thing. That is just from my point of view.
