Colorado Supreme Court says Trump is ineligible to run again-Politico 12/19/23

It ruled that Trump engaged in an insurrection by stoking the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

I think this is just the first of several states to say Trump violated the 14th Amendment and make him ineligible to hold office. Of course this will disgust the MAGA crowd, not to mention Trump himself.

Not so sure how many will follow. In my state North Carolina there was a amendment or whatever to keep Trump off our ballot but was rejected… Why? Because there was no insurrection. But what there was on Jan. 6 was a bus full of agitators that was seen exiting said bus and start breaking windows and instigating rebellion. There is video evidence of this bus and the unlawful acts committed by the people on it. It’s funny the FBI had no interest in trying to determine the people inside that bus.. But thanks to someone interested in the truth about Jan. 6 they got the info to track down the people who leased this bus. I think we will hear more about this before long..something’s not kosher with the constant obsession by the democrats to portray that mostly peaceful protest as a insurrection but they fight like hell to keep the actual video proof from ever being seen by the public.. Besides Trump is a easy name to remember for a write in vote.. so no worry’s…

Oh right. The "ghost bus." It's not a thing, but I guess we'll never know, because Speaker Johnson said he's going to have all the faces blurred in the Jan 6 video he releases. Maybe he's in on it, too. LOL. I guess you think 140 police officers weren't hurt that day, and the lady shot charging the Capitol Police officers inside, was just another example of a non-insurrection.

There were fights , people got hurt, but despite all the lies told by the liberal news networks that day, the only person that died that day was a unarmed female protester shot at point blank range by a Capitol police officer. More people got killed and hurt in those ‘mostly peaceful’ riots committed by the liberal radical democrat group called Antifa.. And now with the mass invasion of our borders and the chaos on our college campuses and the immoral sex acts being performed in our congressional buildings, it seems we have bigger problems than some made up conspiracy of a insurrection . Why don’t we investigate the people that allow all this corruption and immorality to persist in our government

With no do process, no trial, no conviction these liberal judges on the Supreme Court in Colorado have disregarded the constitution and are taking away the rights of every American to freely chose who WE want as our president. It’s not up to unelected judges to choose our representatives. They are doing exactly what the democrats are accusing a Trump presidency will be like.. how can anybody take these corrupt officials seriously, their obsession with trying to stop Trump from becoming our next President is backfiring on them , but they keep on pushing their unconstitutional actions and showing us all how unethical and unlawful they will become to keep their power intact.. I bet that Colorado decision will be overturned.. as it should be.

Wrong again. This too was a gross overreach to keep Trump from winning. The Supreme Court will overrule this in short order. Watch and see.

What gets me some are way too excited that Colorado was able to do this..

And no proof that Trump had those people do what they did.. Nor did he have control of what happened..

But yet not even considering that the People of Colorado would loose their rights to Vote for him if they wanted to..

This is only another way to take our Voting Privileges away....

Wake up to the real issue that they are even trying to do that regardless who runs.. What is next to come they will try to take away..

I'm confident that this will get overturned in Higher Courts if not we are truly doomed as far as our Freedom goes..

Colorado is only one state, but for this kind of action, regarding electing a president, it has to be done at the state level, because that's how the electoral college works. And the plaintiffs successfully showed that Trump engaged in, or supported insurrection. Only, the lower court said that the 14th Amendment didn't apply to presidents. The upper court found that the 14th amendment did apply, so for now, Trump is off the ballot.

Of course, it'll get appealed to the SCOTUS. That's the only higher court that can decide the other way, and whatever they decide, they cannot force other states to remove trump from those ballots. It'll have to be done state-by-state. Colorado's finding can affect similar decisions in other states, though.

Yeah, I don't know how the SCOTUS will rule. Pretty sure Justice Thomas will rule in favor of Trump--his wife supported the insurrection, herself, and he's always blindly supported the Republicans.

so years ago we all know something has to be done to united states. it will not hold power that longer. no be the global on money.

What morals do you hope to restore by electing a adulterer and proven criminal? Alternately, Biden may be more open to alternative lifestyles and pledges to work for all Americans, and not just the states he won the majority of the vote--hence his working for improved infrastructure and living conditions in Kentucky and Alabama along with the rest of the country. It enrages Republicans who are embarrassed by Biden's success, but we really should come together as a country. A continuing Biden Administration is not the way to the Rapture.

Morals? .. we have seen joe Biden erase our morals and replace it with what he thinks is good for America . Drag queens in the White House cocaine use and sodomy in our congressional buildings. He lies about our border security, he lies about our law enforcement and border gaurds, he lies about the state of the economy. He lies about his POS son to keep hisself out of trouble for his decades of being on the take of bribes and scams. Under his watch our childrens education has become a joke. He is the most out of touch president ever, and now it’s official he is worse than Carter . Because Joe sucks so bad and is doing his best to destroy American values and our freedoms , Trump is sailing thru the primary’s with more popularity than in 2016.. P.S. Colorado will be put in their place by the US Supreme Court and Trump will be on their ballot.. look for the scotus to vote almost unanimously in Trumps favor. Not because they like Trump but because they know how unconstitutional the Colorado decision was…

Not sure where your kids are schooled, but I've seen and spoke with my kids teachers and can honestly say education today is way better than when I was a kid. I also don't see a problem with a man supporting his son. Sure, Hunter has problems, and should face the consequences, but I haven't seen Joe blocking the investigation or anything like Trump does. No suing to block evidence or testimony. No firing Attorneys General or staff to suit his personal needs. Under Biden, the DOJ is an independent organization again.

My kids are grown and have kids of their own and they aren’t thrilled with some of the ‘ reading material’ they get for home work.. not all the schools in my state are as bad as the schools up north…not yet anyway…but I guess if you lean left, you may be happy with your pre-teen being questioned about if they want to be the opposite sex, without your knowledge.. so no problem , right? Your right Joe should support his son within legal support. But it seems odd that with all the crimes Hunter could have been charged with , his fathers DOJ just let many of those criminal investigations go on so long the elapsed the statute of limitations… another coincidence I guess… and when they finally did charge him( only after so much condemnation from every voice of reason) they wanted to give him a deal of a lifetime with no real punishment. Thanks for the judge that stopped that from happening.. if that’s not from his fathers interfering the DOJ , than where was that special treatment coming from? Independent justice system? Yea , like wingman Eric Holder was for Obama..LMAO…

Hunter's plea deal collapsed because the attorneys left all the monitoring to the judge and she affirmed that that wasn't her job. It had nothing to do with whether Hunter deserved it.

I'm not so certain of SCOTUS restoring Trump to Colorado's ballot. You may be right, because there is a conservative majority on the court, and Thomas is married to an insurrectionist, so that's one vote for your side. I'm eager to see their ruling and the opinions.

Not really, the judge didn’t agree with a plea deal that said he could not be charged with any other crime he had committed before the plea deal that hadn’t been discovered yet… That is political influence coming from some where.. like his father.. I’m eager to see all the democrats go stark raving mad when Trump is cleared of all these B.S. political charges and becomes POTUS 47.. You dems better start looking for your ‘safe place’ …
