8 months have passed,
I still think of you,
drifting without purpose,
not knowing what to do,

I keep asking myself why did this happen?,
we had so many plans ahead,
now I feel utter loneliness,
and with dreams shattered instead,

moving forward without you,
has been difficult for me,
trying to find a new life,
and all it is meant to be,

part of me longs to move forward,
part of me wants to hold back,
trying for a proper balance,
to be on the right track,

I will forever love you,
but I must move on,
the memories of you will stay with me forever,
until it is my turn and I am gone.

Moving poem. Remember in life there are no guarantees like how long each of us will live. I’m sure your late wife would want you to move on.

Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?

Do you run through each day on the fly?
When you ask, “How are you?”
