Donald Trump has promised to eliminate US Daylight Savings Time when he enters office. I guess he forgets that the President isn't a king and cannot eliminate it by decree. He'd have to get Congress to agree. That said, it's an interesting dilemma. On the one hand, it's not wildly popular all over the place, but it's been used for over a century in the US. Hard to break old habits.

It's a non-partisan issue, and I'm for getting rid of the need to reset clocks 2x each year, even if with modern technology, many of my devices automatically update as needed. Maybe it'll be better or worse for safety and energy usage.

as in standard time year round. And not by the time some want it to be, the out of touch government decided and created daylight saving time a long time ago so I say dump it.
