Counterpoint: If California is so terrible, why are the homes so expensive? People across the country may point to Ron DeSantis' "Poop map" to say that San Francisco is awful, when in fact, landlords charge $6K/month to rent a tiny studio apartment because it's f**king awesome to live there!

The pricey real estate is a big reason we have so many homeless people, but that's due to the landowners rejecting any attempt to build more houses, knowing an increase in supply will cause their selling price to decrease. Also, the mild weather makes it so homeless can actually live outdoors without dying of exposure.

California was a wonderful place to grow up, no
prejudices, perfect weather year round, beautiful
scenery, it had it all..You always go down when
you are on top.

I can hardly wait for The Donald to take over,
then it will all be HIS fault, of course..right?

And yet an increasing rise in crime, pollution, congestion, high taxes, high cost of living, homelessness have led ten of thousands of people and hundreds of businesses to relocate to more affordable states and cities.

California continue to cater to those who have deep pockets not to the common man.

It’s not because it’s awesome, it’s awful.. people pay those high prices so they can say ‘ I live in San Francisco’ more cents than sense. People are fleeing because of the mismanagement of most of that state and cities. Lame out of touch politicians lead to a failure every time..

As a resident nearby, I can attest that San Francisco is a great city. Expensive, but still great. You should visit even if crowds and Liberals upset you (and I know they do).

While you gripe about mismanagement, California is still better run than the federal government, and most other states. And our governor is smarter and better-looking than the president elect. Gavin Newsom is working on more housing units and getting the high-speed rail lines built, which are still being litigated by all the NIMBYs. Once that clears out, we'll get those homes and trains.

Seems some are still in the Dark about Democrat leadership in California.

I know a Professional Man friend who lived in Californian and Moved South years before these Disastrous Fires in LA started because the air pollution was so bad from other fires there.

San Diego CA.

--Let's hope it is not done with the same mindset that destroyed a dam for salmon to swim up stream to spawn. In this day and age, an engineering solution could not be found to allow salmon an area next to the dam?

I have no desire to surround myself with the freaks that inhabit that city or any of the cities run by your liberal democrats , they probally welcome visitors at the airports with drag queens.. sick.. how many millions of$$$ have the libs spent for needed infrastructure many years ago but still no sign of any being built yet. California in a monetary wasteland with liberals at the helm. Gov. Newsome is a joke . I hope he stands in the way of rounding up the illegals so Tom Holman can arrest him for collusion and impeding law enforcement

I visited Haight-Ashbury in 2003 for the first time,
even though I grew up in the area in the '60's.

Twas clean and thriving with a lot of tourists.
Very nostalgic scene.
All about business now while holding on to the past.

San Franciso has always been the most beautiful
city because it has the bones..and always will.

But Chinatown has sold out.
Though I left my heart there.
