What causes me to immediately swipe left?

1) Empty profile or profile with only a photo
If you're not sufficiently interested to tell
others anything about yourself, why should we
bother with you? Would you buy a car where
your only information is a photo? Or
if you have no information at all? A companion
is a lot more important than a car and,
thus, one needs more information to make even a
preliminary decision.

2) Your profile contains a condition that
eliminates me (e.g., you live in Podunk, MO,
and want only local dates).

3) Departing from the truth. Example: a person
claiming to be 60 years old but shows a
picture of a person in their twenties.

4) Your profile contains something that goes
against my personal prejudices (e.g., your
age is less than a third of my age).

We will alert the Press.

No need for sarcasm. I merely wrote the post to encourage people to put details in their profiles.

(I make the, perhaps unjustified, assumption that people enter their profile in the hopes of getting contact with other people. I believe that I'm fairly representative, so I hope that what I wrote may be helpful to others -- except, obviously, to soufiehere.)

And - big hint here - whining about what folks choose to include or not include on their profiles isn't going be a great way to hit it wit the wemens.

You may be right. Trying to help others is often doomed to failure.

Since you post, on average, 105 times a month since November 2008, you have seen a lot more of the forums than I have.

The forums were a lot livelier at one time.
