Because Trump was/is being pressured not to release the Epstein files as was the case when Biden was in power. An upset voter base change his mind. Unfortunately, when a Senate Republican tried to have the files released with full transparency, the resolution was blocked by Senate Democrats a while ago.

Not quite the same. Senator Mullin's request for unanimous consent was rejected -- possibly going too far. Grand Jury material is always highly classified, where all parties are prohibited by law of ever discussing the proceedings even years afterward.

And if Republicans wanted "full transparency", then why are they blocking it in every other vote?

Brings me back to my point, distractions, distractions, distractions. On both sides. The powers to be have their cohorts in both political parties to make sure certain Epstein files would not see the light of day. American politics is a mixture of reality TV and soap opera dramas. Real news is happening in the East.
