For sure smart because the rollout of a vaccine within a two week period by every vaccine manufacturer in the world was a little too convenient. The flu completely disappearing was another big clue. Brave because we held up under the pressure.. Those who folded don’t understand the pressure we got. We stood our ground.

An Opinion.

One of the greatest achievements of the United States in the 20th Century was the discovery of an effective vaccine against the polio virus, ending an era when terrifying epidemics periodically crippled or killed tens of thousands - most of them young children.
But had President Donald Trump and his vaccine-sceptic health secretary , Robert F Kennedy Jr, been in office in the mid-1950s, it is doubtful if the US Government would have accepted the vaccine and backed a massive nationwide campaign to immunise potential victims. The price would have been many more children in wheelchairs, on crutches and in iron lungs.

When I was young the MMR vaccine was not available to me. I had measles and had an allergic reaction to the virus. About 1 of 100 kids had this problem. 1 out of 432 kids died from it. I am very grateful that I am alive. But, I have lived with damaged hearing and skin problems since I was 5 years old. I have had ringing in my ears ever since. I cannot tell you how horrible this is. If my mother had access to the vaccine and didn't give it me I would have disowned her for life.

I also have 3 scientific degrees. The mRNA vaccines are an exact duplicate of the virus. It is like getting a very minor case of the virus. It is the perfect vaccine. While some do not believe that the COVID virus was that bad, remember that 1 out of 300 people in the US died from it (1.1 million people died from it). It is a serious virus that is highly contagious.

Everyone has the right to decide if they want it. As long as you do not pass it on to someone else I am okay with that. Unfortunately the Ro tells a different story. Right now 30% of states are seeing growth in COVID cases.

If you question the risk of a vaccine ask your doctor. They are the ones who fill out the death certificates in most states. They are best qualified to give you the best advice.

I hate to disagree with the almost unanimous sentiment against vaccination here by noting a fact: the risks of vaccinations are far lower than the benefits of not getting whatever the vaccine protects against. A simple cost-benefit analysis.

Exactly right.

There is also the idea that if you do catch whatever you're not vaccinated against you can give it to many other folks before you die.

Risk???
The best and most sophisticated defense against any virus or bug is our own immune system!!
And that gets undermined by vaccinations.

There may be some things you would want a vaccination for, the black death for instance. But even that still occurs, claims a few lives each years incl. in the US.
And yet the masses do NOT get ill, do NOT die so clearly we don't even need a vaccine for that.

The whole Covid thing was exaggerated. Sure people died and some got ill. But that's still not a reason to mass inject some hastily cooked up substance in almost the entire world's population!

The only reason to go for such drastic measures is when we have something like the plague on our hands like in the 14th century when dead body were piled up in the streets.

What the ones in power do know now is how to get the masses to happily accept some substance into their bodies.
Considering they want to expand on that, chips and chit... all the dumb sheep that went for it taught them how to get that done.
And who knows, you may already have gotten chips and whatnot injected.

Finally another person who understands!
I always say "I'm not infected" when people want to know if you got that vaccination. The vaccination is the infection, or the poison.

Ever since that to-do I refuse to take any government shot. Not that I took any, always skipped the flu shot that I can get, but just to make a point.
I no longer trust what they try to put into our bodies. F*** 'em!!

Personally, as an older and still healthy man, I have had the TB and Polio vaccinations in earlier times, more recently the Covid 19 vaccinations, when these diseases posed a very serious threat to health throughout the world and here in the UK. Including many other vaccinations due to travel overseas, and now I am much older, the Flu, Shingles and Covid 19 boosters to give me some protection from illness since age reduces our own resistance to disease. I would like to thank all those in the medical professions worldwide whom have helped me stay healthy throughout my life. Thank you.

The immune system is wonderful, but it has a limitation: it can't protect you against an infectious agent that your immune system has not encountered before. The purpose and effect of vaccination is to provide a new encounter to "tell" your immune system about a specific infectious agent so that your immune system will "know" about that agent.

By refusing vaccination you expose yourself to a greater threat to your health. Furthermore, if you get an infection, you may harm others by exposing them to that infection.

Bottom line: Refusing vaccination is foolish. As Einstein is alleged to have said: Unlike genius, stupidity has no limits.

But then there are people who believe the earth is flat. So what ya gonna do?

Sooner or later, folly brings its own punishment. I think there's no need for action. Besides, it's futile to try to convince a fool that he's wrong.

Seriously??? The immune system is designed to work on unhealthy alien things it hasn't encountered before. And to recognise it if it comes in contact with it again.
That testing for any unhealthy substances is vast, even the mouth is part of it.

If it wouldn't work for things that it had never encountered before it would be useless.
If you were right, how do you think it would have gained the knowledge to recognise something as 'unhealthy'?
It's not like we're hooked up to a computer and the info is added. The body does that itself.
And it does that from scratch as when a baby is born is has to build up its immunity from almost 0.
Only a few things get passed during pregnancy.

I never get why people argue when they have no understanding of a subject, but alas.

A 98 point something percent chance of beating it with your own immune system. That leaves 1 point something versus the complications. Math ain't mathin for some people, I guess.

How does a vaccine work again? Must make you bulletproof by magic just by injecting those superpowers.
