I was just curious if anyone here did the WheresGeorge money tracking. I do it every once in a while, started when my son was little and his school did it.

I do it. Never sent for the stamp etc.. But I do check a bill if I see one. Haven't seen one in years.

T.S. and Z. Basically it's a stamp on one dollar bills that says "where's George" . If you look up the serial number on the site, it'll show where the bill has been. And you can enter it into the data base like, "got it in change at the 7-11 on Main and 6th in whatever city". Kind of fun.

Feds not involved I don't think. I believe it was just started by some nerd with too much time on his hands years ago.

I do not have a stamp either, I just write the "www.wheresgeorge.com" website on the bill with a pen. It is not part of the government and they do not help at all. It would be nice if they would at least send out a list of bills that they had to destroy so you would know.

The $1 is still a big part of circulation...especially in the stripper bars...lol It is the one cent penny that they just stopped making, but it is still currency and usable. I do not know why the media made a big deal about it, there are so many out in circulation now that they really do not need to make more. The $2 bill is still being made also, but it is like the $1 coins...most people don't like using them.

that's wild.. I thought the $2 bill was discontinued.. hmmm.. thats what I was told by one US bank.. the dastardly liars lol

even we up here heard about the US penny being discontinued something about Honest Abe being featured?? they also went into this spiel about how Abe was a wrestler before he was the president? lol
