Don't even consider replying until you've done SOMETHING! (I'm sure there will be some predictable obstinate comments...yaaawn!)

I've been a bit under the weather... eyes and head hurt too much to read my books.....well chosen music ALWAYS works....but I've been checking in on you Motherwhiners!!!!!

Your Banality Bores Me! It's like going through Yellowstone Nat'l Park commenting on the Chevy Vehicle you are riding in......instead of the hikes, sites, geysers, wildlife, and nature you've seen.

Tell me about your community!....your bike ride......your farmer's market.....SHOOT!!!....your PTA Meeting!!!

(I want to hear about "OUT THERE".........NOT "in here"!!!!!!!!)

Well, mowed the lawn. Afterwards just sat and enjoyed the breeze. I wish every day was like today. Warm, breezy and sunny. Perfect day, just wish there was someone to share it with.

I have a very close friend here in Tennessee...I phoned her today...Her name is Theresa, but I call her Tea...Not for the reason some might think...She is not 420 friendly, she is just friendly...I don't know why I call her Tea...I just do, it suits her...I can tell she likes it too...Her voice softens when she responds to my, "Hey Tea, what up girl?"...For some reason, calling her Tea has the same affect as hugging her, it comforts her, calms her, tells her I care....Tea needs this more than all of my other friends put together...Her life is hard...She recently got back together with her old man because her heart was "big enough" to hold "love enough" to forgive him "just enough" to let him come back home...Wife Tea is also a grandmother...Both grandchildren are blue eyed blonds, the kind of blond that streaks white in the summer and stuns you with its beauty...Both kids live with Tea because their mama, Tea's daughter, is a meth addict...I worry that her addiction will kill Tea before it kills her...I pray hard that it doesn't....I love this most incredible woman....

I phoned her 'while' I was sitting on my front porch....That counts, right...

enjoying time outside is always a great way to keep my almost five year old nephew occupied.
he helped me hang the towels on the line to dry. can't beat the smell of fresh sunshine.
after that he'll keep busy either digging or helping me gather some of our little hot peppers from the tree.
we've gotten past the stage of him trying to eat them because of the pretty red orange color. he remembers they are super hot.
now he's playing ball with the dog.

hope you feel better soon. flowerforyou

It counts!

Just took a bike ride down by the river. "Compass Stump Run"......put the true cardinal directions on a cut-off tree (inlayed an actual compass) because the riverpath can get one "turned about".

Sorry you've been under the weather. frown flowerforyou

Well, I didn't go to the Farmer's Market at the AV Winery yesterday morning. They have the market there every Saturday morning from spring to fall but I don't go every weekend. Only once or twice a month. I love the fresh goat cheese. drool Oh and you can get venison there too. The wines are good but a bit pricey.

Last weekend I hiked Mt. Islip with my hiking group. This weekend there was no hike, but next weekend we are hiking Baden Powell. And the weather is going to be much cooler. I could post pics but I think they'd be boring to most people. Except for the little rock house at the top of Mt. Islip. I call it the Blair Witch House. It would be super creepy at night.

I don't have a bike, but I have been thinking of getting one.

The local theater (Lancaster Performing Arts Center) is showing a play next month called Spanks. It's a parody of 50 Shades of Grey. A bunch of us girls from work are going. I'm really looking forward to it.

Edit: today I had lunch with my son at Baja Fresh.
