Do you think people are clickish on here? In life do we just click with some people and not others?

I keep clicking the buttons on my computer mouse. Does that count?

Yes Malmacians count in clicks.

Do you think people are clickish on here?

People are cliquish everywhere.

People inherently seek out to join or form groups, try to grow and expand groups, vie for dominance or secure position in the group, use their groups to fulfill selfish purpose.

That's just human nature.

In life do we just click with some people and not others?

"Click" shortcuts a huge ongoing process.

Might as well ask "In life do some people just have kids and others don't?"

Thank you for your response ciretom

Yea ppl are clickish pretty much everywhere including here.

The need to be accepted by our peers is only human.

I prefer to create "my click" one person at a time, I don't believe in blowing sunshine up someones arse in order to be accepted like lots do. Those who I truly appreciate, know it, I've told them so in private. We may not talk everyday but they know without a doubt, I got their backs anytime they need.

Yes and Yes.

Others have already pointed mostly the same as I'm going to say, but I wanted to put my 2 cents out there....

Yes, there are cliques here, but there are cliques everywhere in life IMO. When I first came here, I was VERY put off with all the little groups, but I learned (read a LOT) to just jump in when I felt I wanted my voice heard (just like right now  ).
I too have always been somewhat shy/introverted and online dating tends to MAKE one HAVE to be outgoing or not-so-shy to get anything accomplished. From making that small (but not last or least) friendship to a full blown relationship with someone in the real world. And yes, I was looking for friends as well as a significant other.
I have found that significant other, but I still find myself drawn here to the forums to see what my "friends" are chatting about. I still see the cliquey-ness, but I'm not as shy as I once was, so I jump in with both feet (AND place said feet in mouth sometimes laugh ). But hey, it's all good...no, GREAT!! happy

yep

think it was worse when I joined
I'm with ya T....We started posting around the same time and it WAS more cliquish then. And I used to laugh at how some thought "new to mingle2" meant 'new to internet forums". I would then laugh even more at the non original crap they would post thinking they had broken new internet ground.
Way more cliquish then....not nearly as much now.

I guess as with in real life there are those who crave to be popular .. Not something I have ever aspired to be .... Online ... My presence here is purely for the entertainment .. Not interested in clicks waving

Hi Blondey thanks, I agree the entertainment value is Important to me too. If you can't enjoy yourself, then it's a moot point.

Anyone who thinks this forums political sect is cut throat should get out in the internet world more. Like I mentioned in my first post here, many people with high post counts seem to have only spent time on THIS sites forums.
The political section here is tame compared to other political forums....but people, mainly ones that don't post there, need something to bltch about I guess.
Sorry no one in political pats everybody on the back hands out flowers all the time, and sings kumbaya....that fake $hit goes on in enough sections here.

There are clicks everywhere you go, school, work..........people gravitate towards those who they feel "get them", it's hard to converse with someone when you have no idea what they are talking about, or maybe you don't understand their sarcasm or humour, and sometimes you just don't want to feel stupid( by saying or doing something stupid), so we stick with our own kind, which is sad cause we can all learn from each other.

you know as well as I do that most of it is like that

a smile or a wave to bump a thread and keep it active

no offense to the OP

but most of these are predictible

when the OP responds to each and every post

almost like..they are mandated to do it

like it's a formula to follow
