if you use firefox, download and install the "adblock" extension, which will cut out most ads and stuff. the "noscript" extension is another worthwhile one to use too. i use both of them, as they're just so dern useful.

Thank you SO much. I had forgotten about that. It is SO nice to not see all those darn adds.

look down at the bottom. there should be a symbol that reminds you of a no smoking sign. Off-click on that (I'd say right-click, but I use a left handed mouse) it should pop a list of sites with allow xxx

Make sure to allow Mingle2.com, and quantserve.com. That seems to work for me.

yeah. 'noscript' works SO well with blocking stuff that it might accidentally block stuff that you don't want blocked. this can be fixed rather easily by right-clicking the smallish "s" with the white circle around it on the status bar at the bottom of the window. then select "allow mingle2", which should now allow the site.

If you use firefox you can use the adblock addon. You can also
use the host file to block ip addresses and websites.

like this

Peer-Guardian: http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/

Read the directions because this program will block everything from advertising sites to emoticons (any add-on that didn't come with default browser).

O boy .. it's an ancient thread .. but ads are actually the fuel, what keeps this site running. You can choose an option "Don't run on pages of this domain" in adblocker settings, or turn it off completely, when visiting this site.

I thought the adds are what is keeping Mingle 2 free? I ignore them. I know, this is an old topic.
