I agree with Tom.

You can train yourself to take things at face value, and not play out all manner of scenarios in your head, before even talking or meeting.

That complicates something that could be easy.

To me an activity partner is someone to go places with like movies, bike riding, dinner, concerts etc but no sex. It's like dating without the romantic part.

E2W-

Activity partner, to me, means someone to do things with that both enjoy (bowling, putt-putt golf, wineries, concerts, fishing, movies, garage sales, biking, etc.) without any commitment or emotional feelings. This, to me, would not involve paying for the other person for the activity.

Kind of throws a wrench in your game plan, doesn't it, Ann?

Maybe it means they want someone to go SKYDIVING with, or bungee jumping...or mountain climbing....?
There was one person a while back, who was looking for somebody to go to a concert with him...but,
I guess you could just ASK the person what it means! :wink:bigsmile

Yes an old post!!! grumble

But I'm glad you resurrected it haha. I used to think that activity partner is someone you go flee market and garage sale shopping, yaga partner, salsa dance partner, like a buddy, mate, platonic friend. But I always thought, one does all these thing with their girlfriends (if women), drinking beer or playing golf with their mates (if men).

So now, I have changed my take on Activity Partner as a sex partner with a nice name.

Yes Mz Rosie,
Just like i used to think men that posted they were romantic, lol I thought oh they like to buy flowers, candlelight dinners etc etc no now I know it's manspeak for sex. Just like guys who post on here about giving /receiving massages that's just another attempt on their part to get them in their home ( or hers) and get them naked. Men and their games!

Don't women- as well as men- actually PAY money to get massages at spas.....from total strangers?

oh please, one must not ask stupid question. You know very well that going to professional masseuse for a massage is quite different from strangers on a dating site forums who keep saying they want to give massages.

Deejay, welcome to Mingle2 and the forums. I hope you are enjoying your stay.

There are some spas/massage parlors that will provide a "happy ending".

Again, from a total stranger.

For an extra fee of course.

So I've read. Never been to any myself.

It was a rhetorical question.
I already knew the answer.
A stranger is still a stranger wherever you meet them.
Stranger=unknown person.

Of this I had no doubt, I have only heard of such places.

People are strange.

What's the diffrence between looking for a activity partner and looking for intimate encounter?

...it depends.

i am into full body massage. an activity partner could be into one to three hour sessions just for fun and practice.

with an intimate encounter, i am hoping we are or can be friends.

ooh are we going to go there? Strangers who are professionals that you have never met before.. like doctors and nurses specially in ER. These are professionals that are strangers to one but one allow them to touch them where they hurt. And you trust them because they are professionals in their field.

Now, the creepy men in a dating site forums who spam the forums with their desire to give women massages is just looking for sex.

I agree, stranger is person unknown. But creepy strangers in the forums spamming the forums with their obsession for massages, are just that.. creepy strangers and no women in their right mind would fall for that.

You are new in the forums, nice to meet you, stranger. Keep posting as that is a way to get to know the M2 community and vice versa. It would help if you have a profile photo if you want to regularly participate in forums.
