I haven't seen a ton of bands, but the ones I've seen - well, some sound good live, others should stick to studio work.

Aerosmith was the worst. Didn't even sound like them.

I saw Krokus while I was in Germany at a little bar, with only about 100 people in the audience. Didn't even know they were going to be there.

I think their big hit was "Screamin' in the Night." A real 80's heavy metal hair-band. They had a few others, that I only recognized while they were playing.

They sounded great. If I wasn't standing 10ft away from them, I would have thought they were lip-synching.

Motley Crue was also pretty good, live.
Krokus? laugh God I remember that band. Even remember the singer's name, Marc Storace. :tongue:

Queensryche: Operation Mindcrime was truly amazing to see, and I saw this back when the album was fresh (early 1989). One of the best Seattle bands that never gets credit for how good they are.



I just seen them in May. That was a GREAT show too! Can't remember the name of the new album though, but it had something to do with our troops.


Geoff Tate's voice is amazing! He can go from low key to high pitch and it sounds good.


He is awesome and if you haven't heard it, you should check out The American Soldier. That was the tour I went to see in May!

Use to be a huge fan but not now....Bruce Springsteen was incredible in concert. Played for 3 hours and went all out.

Seen a ton, imma go with Journey... and New Edition when they were all back together. Best two in concert ive ever seen or heard live

Judas Priest was great, Ramones always kicked butt, saw The Cult in a club on their first tour of Canada.
KROKUS! Damn now "Stayed Awake All Night" is gonna be stuck in my head all day.

I have seen a lot of concerts and the smaller venues are always more fun.

My top show was Murder City Devils

My first time crowd surfing and they caught the stage on fire!

Large Venue, Motley Crue at DTE in Clarkston

Medium Venue, Judas Priest and Krokus in 1987 < my first concert >

Small Venue, a toss up between Ra and Anthrax at The Machine Shop < my favorite place to go for a concert >

Best Performer, Garth Brooks < constant energy >

Saw Rush on their Roll The Bones tour, was awesome. Primus actually opened for them which was funny because no one knew them back then. While Primus was playing people were milling about and going to get concessions, meanwhile I was up front yelling "Yeah! Primus sucks! Wooooo!" since I knew them. They stopped in the middle of one song because of the lack of interest and went right into Johnny was a racecar driver, then walked off the stage after that because none of the old Rush fans cared.

Trans Siberian Orchestra puts on an awesome light show and is a must see.

I haven't been to a concert in a while, the last one I saw was NIN. One of my favorite bands, they incorporated a new technology into their performance. Some college kids in the Netherlands came up with an LED curtain that could display images and even react to physical objects. The imagery was very vivid and colorful compared to others who may use projectors. At one point the entire band was obscured by moving "static" that would clear up around Trent as he moved forward and then resettle once he stepped back towards the band....very cool.
