This is an old song my Daddy used to go around singing. He died from Cancer when I was 10 & this song tears me the hell up every time I hear it. Not, sure who was the original songwriter & singer was.

Sarah Mclaughlin ... Arms of the Angels is probably her most popular song but "Will we burn in Heaven?" is far more haunting and asks a very good question. I think this is her best song. It also has some great guitar.

Was not about her dead son, as none of her children have died ...

I well remember that she said, at the time, that she hadn't slept for a couple of days due to her breakup w/ her first child/son's father, John Reynolds ...

... As they'd just broken up and she and he were, both, absolutely devastated ...

He was also her music producer at the time, and had been for some time by then, so it was also a very real biz pressure mess for both ... In addition to the personal crisis ...

MUCH later, she started sayin' it made her cry as she was reflectin' upon her relationship w/ her deceased mother, whom she claimed had abused her ...

I so love her ... AND, still ... She is well known for changin' stories to suit ...

But, wanted to clarify only to make sure all know she never lost a son to death ...



Quietman told me that about her son..so i guess he was wrong then...
