It's about becoming more self-aware as you get older and start questioning the conformity that society has instilled in you as you were younger. I love that song, by the way!

I think it's about finding beauty in the face of adversity! It's ugly out...but he's thrilled cuz' he's with the one he loves. Nothing else matters. F*** that it's nasty out, ya' know?
