I listen to quite a few Montreal based metal bands. Canada puts out alot of kick *** metal. But if I had to pick a region, I'd go with Scandinavia as a whole for metal landscape, love all that ****.

Scandinavia doesnt produce the best.Quebec do produce some of the best metal in Canada.Feast Of Corpses is awesome

Right, Scandinavia produces the most awesome metal nowadays. Speaking of that region, I just bought the new single from In Flames off iTunes and it's amazing!

Yea, there (us in this thread) some of us that are pretty hardcore metalheads. I never used to be. Used to be all classic rock, which I still listen to, but when I was 12 I heard Master of Puppets by Metallica and that changed my life. Been metal ever since, be it old metal or the new brutal stuff.

Their new **** sucks tho.
Master of Puppets, Kill 'em all, Ride the Lightning... that was badazz. Anything after the Black Album sucks tho.

Ohh yes, Kirk Hammett is awesome! He's def my Metal God! He inspired me 15 years ago to pick up the guitar and learn how to play! ;)
