well 'running your mouth' is supposed to be a constitutional right

why would I boycott a constitutional right?

the point was, if someone is still generating revenue for the American government,, why shoulnt they still be able to receive the income

For what it is worth:

We ( America) have fought in many wars.. some not always popular. I, for one have (USMC).. have, as have many, many others on this site.

One thing was a certain.. we did not pack up and run when the times got tough.. we fought for what we believe in. We fought for our way of life.

Others decided not to and they fled to Canada.

The ironic thing about that is.. they now want to come back.. to America.. the country they turned their back on. And America ( rightfully so ) says... no

If you do not like the political system.. you stay and fight.. cowards flee.

And if you flee ... there is no return

stay and fight how and who?

and what fight is based on geography?

as I said, its not required that people stay in one certain place to make change , nor are they turning their backs on anything if they move locations

nor are they cowards, if they have been shown time and time that their efforts result in nothing,,,

there are plenty of reasons people choose to leave, and its not about 'turning their backs' on americans, as much as it is getting up from under those LEADING Americans

Ho do you fight???? by getting involved with what you think is wrong and making changes happen. voting for who you feel will lead.

Better yet.. you lead.. run for office.. start small and work up. Do something about the things you don't like.. other then just talking about it.. actually do something. Talk is cheap.

Or you could just leave, but your not going anywhere.. are you? not going to give up anything that you have here in the U.S... neither is Uncle Al.

And BTW.. If you do leave and you don't renounce your citizenship.. you WILL still pay taxes to the U.S... kind of defeats the purpose.. doesn't it. ;)

and no, leaving and paying taxes doesn't defeat the purpose unless you were leaving to avoid taxes

great, then move to Canada and run for local office in the U.S. town you now live in...or any U.S. town/ office. make a difference.. help change what you don't like...take a stance.of course it is a hell of a commute for those weekly meetings.

You stated that you may move but finances is a issue. See what paying taxes in 2 countries does to your purse.

I.e... not going anywhere.. never was. either is Al.. and either is the other " entertainers". I wish they would.. I would have more respect for them.. at least they would then be backing up their words..

I take that back... Al may... but that would be to avoid paying taxes.. no other reason.. but of course he would not get to do his "gig" in any other country... he would have to hang up his hat... the hand out hat.

I am not the accountant of any celebrity or politician, nor am I the IRS,, so I don't concern myself or pretend to know what their financial obligations are or which ones they may or may not be meeting

but no one makes consumers spend their money

if they act in a movie I like and I pay for that movie, where they live shouldn't determine whether they are compensated

...my attempt at trying not to babble left my point out of context ...what kind of threat is a star making by leaving the country...don't they come and go as they please...if a large percent of their money is from entertaining Americans as well as the world...what are these "stars" sacrificing to illustrate their stand...the star loses nothing...we the consumer lose nothing...stars spend their money all over the world already...what do Americans lose by them leaving...is more like my point... flowerforyou

You can't make this stuff up. An organization analyzed social media postings that were critical of Trump, and found that in 4%, the writers threatened to leave the country if he is elected president.

These are the kind of people who don't even know 1st grade geography. If they're not even educated on American territory, they definitely have not done any kind of research on Trump's policies. They just feed whatever the MSM feeds them

They are saying that they'll leave the US if Trump is elected president, which would only make sense, you know, if they were American citizens. I suppose there could be a handful of international students in there who are here on a student visa and REALLY hate Donald Trump for some reason, but... I think it's a pretty safe assumption to make that Americans... would threaten to leave.. America...

And given that Trump is running for the GOP, wouldn't it stand to reason that most of these posters would be Democrats? Democrats, I find, get a lot of their political news from social media like Twitter and Facebook, which would fall into line with this. rofl

“Girls” actress Lena Dunham has been an open and active advocate for Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton. So why is GOP front-runner Donald Trump now saying that Dunham is motivating him to win the overall presidential race?

After Dunham threatened to move to Canada if Trump wins the presidency, he slammed the actress, saying driving her out of the country is a motivating factor.

“Well, she’s a B-actor. You know, she has no — you know, no mojo,” Trump said of Dunham during a phone interview with Fox News. “I heard Whoopi Goldberg too. That would be a great thing for our country,” Trump said, referring to other actors and actresses who have expressed similar sentiments to Dunham.

Rosie O’Donnell also was on that list.
